King Faisal vice-chairman Alhaji Kamel disagrees with calls led by the club’s owner Alhaji Karim Grusah for the attacker to be included in Black Stars.
Grusah is campaigning strongly for his player to be handed a Black Stars call-up ahead of early next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Zubairu has scored four goals this season with three coming in the tense Kumasi derby against Asante Kotoko on December 5.
His goals have been key to King Faisal’s surprisingly first position on the Ghana Premier League table.
“I don’t think so, it is too early to say Zubairu should be called into the Black Stars, he’s an upcoming player who needs to start from the U20 and progress to the U23 and ultimately into Black Stars,” Alhaji Kamel told Ahomka FM in an interview.
Meanwhile, Zubairu Ibrahim over the weekend was invited to the camp of the Ghana U-20 team.
