The CEO of Off Da Ground Records, Nana Richard Abiona, professionally known as Fuse ODG, has revealed that his signee Feli Nuna left his record label because she wanted quick results.
Fuse ODG, who doubles as an Afrobeats musician, said he never intended to part ways with Feli Nuna, but she decided to move on, and he had no option but to let her go.
“I did not stop working with Feli. I felt she could be more patient. She just wanted to see quicker results, and we had just been working for a year. So like I’m saying, you can’t expect things to be just like in a year. Yeah. Gotta be patient but keep pushing,” he explained in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on 3FM.
Under the management of Fuse ODG, Feli Nuna released the song ‘Towel’ in 2022, and the duo created a viral dance challenge to promote the track.
However, the controversy of Feli Nuna dressing in a towel to attend public interviews overshadowed the music.
Fuse explained that his firm strategically invested in the promotion of the song.
“Did you hear the song? I feel like a lot of people heard the song because of that campaign. I feel like that was what really pushed the awareness of the song”.
“She had a great time. I think it’s her wanting more too quickly for my pace. But I can understand from her perspective as well. Remember, Feli’s been in the game for a while, so she wants it now,” he indicated.
Fuse ODG is currently in Ghana working on new sounds and promotions with his latest signee Leftizzle as part of his project to showcase Ghanaian talent to the world.
