The founder and head pastor of Alabaster International Ministries, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has descended heavily on so-called men of God who engage in extramarital affairs.
According to Prophet Oduro, such acts do not serve as a good example for church members, especially the males who will think committing adultery is normal as a Christian.
The sensational pastor noted that any ordained man of God who wears a clerical attire and still commits adultery or fornication would end up in hell because such acts are abominable before God.
Prophet Oduro further alleged that anyone who stands behind a pulpit to preach and engages in amorous relationships could be equated to a fetish priest but not a pastor qualified to lead the children of God.
“Let this nonsense and the madness that has come into the body of Christ stop. For a preacher to stand on a pulpit to say that I have made a baby out of wedlock, what kind of nonsense is that? he quizzed in a viral video.
“I am telling you, that is not a church. That is a shrine. You are not a preacher; you are a witch doctor. You are an astrologer, a palm reader. You are a fetish.”
Speaking on how best a mature husband can handle a disrespectful wife, he opined that the husband is supposed to inform the wife’s parents about the abysmal behaviour of their daughter privately and not in public.
“When a preacher stands on the pulpit to divorce a woman, that is disrespectful to the Holy Spirit and womanhood. You took the woman from her parents, so if you have respect as a man of God, you will go back and present your drink,” Prophet Oduro admonished.
“Nobody is able to rebuke them. I told you there are foolish pastors and foolish churches in Ghana, and the reason why we cannot rebuke them is that our laws and the people that manage it do not have the moral right whatsoever to rebuke anybody because they are also in that madness. And therefore, when the blind leads the blind, they both fall into a ditch”.
“If you are in a church where the pastor is able to engage in adultery and boldly proclaim it, I am telling you that you are not in a church. You are in the lion’s den. Bad teachings can send you to hell,” he added.
The strong words of Prophet Oduro come at a time Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews alias Osofo Kyiri Abosom publicly confessed that he had fathered children with a woman besides his wife.
The leader and founder of the Life Assembly Worship Centre also told his congregation that he and his wife had gone their separate ways.
In an address to his congregation during a service, the 2020 flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) noted that he is unperturbed by the said development.
While defending his actions, he explained that many beautiful women exist, so his wife’s decision to abandon their marriage did not bother him.
