Former President Jerry John Rawlings may be gone, but some of his traits live on in his blue-eyed daughter, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings.

A bit of an adrenaline junkie, Zanetor embodies her father’s strength and charisma, easily jumping along to engage in many unconventional activities.

A medical doctor by profession and a legislator for Klottey Korle, she was fully engaged in a weightlifting competition as revelers made merry at the 2023 Chale Wote Streets Arts Festival.

Formerly, James Town, a predominantly fishing and Accra’s oldest community, Mantse Agbonaa, hosted the Chale Wote Arts Festival.

However, the new venue, Black Star Square in Osu, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Accra, dating back to the early 19th century, and has become an important part of the city’s commercial and cultural landscape.

Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings didn’t hesitate to pull gym gloves over her palm to go and grab a  barbell to challenge other weightlifters.

She successfully completed 10 deadlifts with the heavy metal as constituents, competitors, and spectators sang her praises.
Besides the weightlifting, she was engaged in the weeklong festival as she visited several art exhibition locations to enjoy the biggest art event in the country, celebrated to coincide with the Homowo Festival of the Ga people.

This is not the first time she has been spotted engaging in such outdoor activities within the enclave.

Dr Agyeman-Rawlings, popularly known as Osu La Gata, had been photographed on some occasions riding bicycles within the constituency, occasionally displaying skills common with carefree youths.

In 2015, she was also seen riding on horseback along the famous Oxford Street with some party supporters.
