Unpaid bonuses put Ghanaian referees in a state of uncertainty as 2024/25 season approaches

The referees in the Ghana Premier League and Division 1 are struggling financially due to outstanding bonuses, as reported by Accra-based Happy FM.

The report reveals outstanding bonuses cover matches from Matchday 20 to Matchday 34 for GPL referees and Matchweek 15 to Matchweek 30 for Division 1 referees.

With the previous season concluding two months ago and the new season starting on September 6, 2024, the delayed payments have severely hindered referees’ preparations, including essential medical checks.
