Uganda’s rising football stars, St Noa Girls Secondary School, have safely arrived in Accra, Ghana, ahead of the 2025 CAF Africa Schools Football Championship.
The team touched down at approximately 3:00 PM East African Time on Saturday aboard Ethiopian Airlines, ready to represent their nation on the continental stage.
Set to kick off on April 23 and run through to April 26, the prestigious under-15 tournament brings together elite school teams from across the five CAF regions, including the host nation and the defending champions.
St Noa Girls earned their place after a stellar performance in the CECAFA Zonal qualifiers held last year in Uganda.
This marks a significant milestone for the school, as they become only the second Ugandan girls’ team to qualify for the final tournament, following in the footsteps of Kawempe Muslim SS, who claimed a bronze medal in the 2024 edition.
The 20-player squad boasts a blend of experienced and new talent, featuring returning names such as goalkeeper Haira Nabbosa, Cynthia Kirenga, Nabawanuka Belinda Hope, and Tracy Nabalanzi.
The team is under the stewardship of head coach Kintu Jimmy, with a capable technical and management team offering full support.
