England winger Jadon Sancho has spoken for the first time since joining Aston Villa from fellow English Premier League side Manchester United on a season-long loan deal.

The winger fell out of favour with the Red Devils first under former head coach Erik Ten Hag and his replacement, Ruben Amorim, which led to his loan deal to Chelsea.

With the Blues, Sancho won the UEFA Conference League but his return to United was short lived after getting moved to Villa. Aston Villa also completed a loan deal for Harvey Elliott from Liverpool.

Speaking in an interview with Aston Villa media, Sancho stated that Villa manager Unai Emery’s vision for the club inspired him to join.

“When I spoke to the manager he gave me belief and confidence.”
