Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Herbert Mensah has waded into the poor stadium attendance in the Ghanaian top flight in recent weeks, saying the Ghana Football Association has not done enough to promote the game.
The Ghana Premier League has been hit with poor stadium attendance in recent weeks at the various stadia across the country.
Expressing his view on the low turnouts at the various stadia, the experienced football administrator took a swipe at the domestic football governing body, saying they have not done enough to raise the game.
“The bigger problem is how football is run in this country if you two strong teams doing very well together Kotoko and Hearts as part of it but the FA has a big role to play and I don’t think they have done a great job over a period of time this is not a personal issue, is not Kurt, is not about his people, we’ve seen it through the last two-three administrations that attendances at stadiums have been going down and I think we have to take a bigger look at that”

Herbert Mensah, who was appointed as Kotoko’s Chief in 1999 chalked numerous successes with the club.
He left Kotoko in 2003 after having led the team to place second in the CAF cup winners cup losing to WAC of Morocco.
In December 2004, Kotoko was runner-up in the African Cup Winners’ Cup and went on to achieve more success in the years that followed.
