Popular Ghanaian highlife musician George Kwabena Adu known as Kwabena Kwabena has advised ladies not to wear skintight clothing to church.
The ace musician believes the church is a holy place where reverence needs to be given to God therefore outfits that one can take to parties or to the pub must not be worn to the house of God.
The ‘Bue Kwan’ hitmaker showed his displeasure with how some church leaders have been reluctant to speak against the improper dressing habit of some ladies in the church.
“Let me tell you something. Even if you have dresses that tighten your ass, you don’t wear them to church. You have places you can wear those dresses too, but when you are going to the house of God, there should be a purpose why you are going there, and please, we must all start to behave in a certain manner… For me, it’s a shame that, up until now, no pastor has spoken against it”, he noted in an interview on Okay FM whilst speaking on why he has stopped going to church recently.
Moreover, Kwabena Kwabena urged Christians to emulate the footsteps of Jesus Christ on earth as true ambassadors.
According to him, the behaviours of some Christians are diverting people’s attention from God.
” I saw an advertisement of a lady shaking her buttocks to invite people to the house of God” by a gospel musician. I have a problem with how we are treating the kingdom of God.”
