Some people are bringing Hearts of Oak to a lower level; I won’t accept it – Coach Aboubakar Ouattara

The new head coach of Hearts of Oak, Coach Aboubakar Ouattara has lamented the level of the club, insisting that some people around the club are responsible for the decline in the status of the club.

The Ivorian tactician over the weekend took charge of his first match as coach of the Phobians.

After leading Hearts of Oak to a 3-0 win over Real Tamale United, coach Aboubakar Ouattara vowed to work hard to restore the club it its proper status as a giant in Africa.

“Hearts of Oak is not one of the best in Ghana. It is one of the biggest clubs in Africa but the people are bringing this team to the lower level. I can never accept it. We are going to try to bring Hearts of Oak. That will be done through hard work,” Coach Abubakar Ouattara said.

Following Hearts of Oak’s big win over RTU, the club has moved to 9th on the league table.

Up next for the Phobians, the team will face off with Nsoatreman FC next weekend.
