Michelle Agyemang had a dream run at the 2025 Women’s European Championship by scoring crucial goals as England lifted the title. Agyemang is of Ghanaian descent and is generating a ton of attention on and off the pitch.
England beat Spain 3-1 on penalties to win the European Championship for the second time in a row and 19 year old Agyemang was named Young Player of the Tournament.
The Arsenal player scored an equalizer for England to make the score 2-2 against Sweden that England won on penalties in the quarterfinals and England’s semifinal win over Italy was only possible after Agyemang scored an 86th minute equalizer to force the game to extra time.
However, after receiving the Young Player of the Tournament Award and a gold medal, Agyemang is once again in the news after getting omitted in a photo posted by the British Royal Family.

A photograph posted on the Royal Family’s official page on X (formerly Twitter), several members of the victorious Lionesses team were featured in the photo but Agyemang was conspicuously missing sparking serious backlash from fans.

Agyemang had featured for England’s Under 17 and Under 19 teams and earned a surprise spot in England’s senior team after scoring just 41 seconds after her introduction in a 3-2 England loss to Belgium in a UEFA Nations League game.
