The Board of Directors of the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority, GIDA, has appointed Engineer Richard Oppong Boateng on the recommendation of the Agriculture Minister, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
A statement signed and issued in Accra by the Board Chairman of the Irrigation Authority, Mr Osei Owusu Agyemang indicated that the appointment takes effect from 1st of January this year.
The newly appointed Chief Executive of the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority ING. Richard Oppong Boateng replaces ING Wilson Darkwa whose tenure ended on 31st December, 2022. The previous role of the new appointee was Chief Manager of the Irrigation Technology and Innovation Department of the same Authority.
