The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has confirmed Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a near-unanimous vote of confidence from Assembly Members.

Mr. Boadi, who previously served as Municipal Chief Executive for Obuasi under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, was nominated by former President John Dramani Mahama.

He secured 55 out of 56 votes cast in a decisive confirmation exercise held at the KMA chambers on Thursday.
