“We have had lots of exciting moments. The first was when the band was mentioned as the Traditional Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards. We were not expecting it, and that was our very first award, so it came as a shock.
We knew we had worked and people were jamming to the music we put out there, but we didn’t really know that people were watching and assessing to the extent of awarding us as Traditional Artiste of the Year,” Asah Nkansah, the band leader, revealed.
Kwan Pa believes in the assertion that Africa has a very rich music culture which is worth flaunting to the world.
