An overspeeding sprinter bus with registration number GW 5951-23 veered off the road between Ekumfi Essarkyir and Antseadzie in the Ekumfi District after the rear tire burst resulting in the death of a man believed to be in his 40s on the spot.
The deceased is yet to be identified.
The accident is reported to have happened today at about 7:30 am.
An unidentified number of passengers are reported to be injured and have been rushed to the Winneba Trauma Hospital for medical attention.
