Real Tamale United, one of the traditional football clubs in Ghana, has named a seven-member management team for the club.
The designations for the new management members are as follows.
Chief Executive Officer – Arc Jawhari Baba Duah
Business Development – Mr. Osmond Amuah,
International Relations – Mr. Tanko Adamu,
Administrative Manager – Alhaji Alhassan Yakin
Head of Protocol – Dr. Osman Damba
Policy Analyst – Rashida Saani Nasamu
Operations – Alhaji Yanko
The management team will be assisted by the under-listed officers of the Club.
Legal affairs – Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan.
Finance – Alhaji issifu mahama.
Technical Director – Coach Charles Abugri.
Youth Team Coordinator – Alhaji iddrisu Mutawakilu.
Safety and Security Coordinators – W.O Adjei Soale Abdullai and Mr Abdul Rahman A.A Baaize.
Communication – Alhaji Mohammed Baako Alhassan, Abdulai Habib Dinnani and Mr. Sey Mubarak.
A statement issued and signed by the Board Chairman of the club, Alhaji I.S Mahama urged the management team and other handlers of the club to do everything possible to steer Real Tamale United to its former glory.
Popularly known as RTU, the club made its maiden appearance in Ghana’s elite soccer division in 1978 and soon became one of the clubs to beat, rubbing shoulders with powerhouses like Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
However, RTU has failed to win the domestic league trophy with its best positions between second and fourth places. Known as the pride of the north, RTU until recently was invincible on home grounds.
It recently gained promotion to Ghana’s premiership after a relegation few seasons ago. Three-time African footballer of the year, Abedi Ayew Pele is among a tall list of Ghanaian footballers produced by Real Tamale United.
