Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Nations FC have announced the appointment of Kassim Ocansey Mingle as their new head coach ahead of their first-ever season in the Ghanaian top flight.
The duration of his contract has not been confirmed by the club in the Friday night announcement.
The tweet announcing his appointment has now been deleted.
Nations FC qualified for the Ghana Premier League after emerging as champions of the 2022/23 Nations Division One League Zone 2.
They amassed 72 points from 30 games, beating Skyy FC by seven points.
Mingle is joining the Kumasi-based club after leaving now-fellow Ghana Premier League side Bechem United after the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.
The experienced manager, who has been with the Hunters for the past two seasons, guided them to a second-place finish with 54 points, coming behind champions Medeama SC and Aduana FC.
It is a second consecutive third-place finish for Bechem under the guidance of Mingle.
