The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Naa Ga-Dangme, Madam Dorcas Naa Atswei Koney, has announced that the launch of Season 3 of the Naa Ga-Dangme beauty pageant will be on October 1, 2022, in Accra.
The seasonal beauty pageant, which gives opportunity to young and talented Ga-Dangme ladies between the ages of 18-28 years, is meant to promote the dynamic culture and traditions within the various Ga communities.
Madam Atswei Koney promised to make this year’s pageant memorable and called on the public, especially the Ga people, to show interest in this reality show.
This year’s celebration is centred on showcasing the various festivals, fashion and customary practices among the Ga-Dangme people.
Naa Ga-Dangme is organised yearly by Agidor Event Services and supported by TV Africa, a Ghanaian mainstream media.
Last year, Naa Borley Akeeyo of Nungua Traditional Area was crowned Naa Dangme 2021. She went home with a car, an educational scholarship and a trip to Dubai in December last year.
At the end of it all, the contestant from Prampram, Naadu, was the first runner-up. She was crowned Miss Culture 2021 due to her skill in portraying the culture of the Ga people.
She was awarded GHS10,000.00 cash, an educational scholarship and some products from the sponsors.
The second runner-up was from La, Naa Atswei, who was crowned the most well-behaved contestant for the year.
She also went home with GHS 6,000.00, an educational scholarship and some products from the sponsors.
Like other television beauty pageants, Naa Dangme contestants are evicted every night based on votes and performance.
