Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has praised Tottenham Hotspurs teammate Richarlison for making the most from a not-so perfect cross to score an outstanding goal.
He made this comment in a post-game interview after Spurs bagged a 3-0 win over Burnley in the opening game of the 2025-2026 English Premier League season for either team.
Kudus made his league debut for Spurs in the win and delivered an impressive performance after bagging a brace of assists and wowing fans with his dribbling and exquisite ball control.
Both Richarlison goals were assisted by Kudus via crosses in the 10th and 60th minute respectively and on Richarlison’s brilliant finish for his second goal, Kudus commended the Brazilian for converting the chance off his cross.
“As a winger, one of my responsibilities is to serve the strikers and put them in position where it is easier for them to score and I think that it was a brilliant finish. I don’t think it was a perfect cross but he [Richarlison] made it look so good” Kudus said.

Kudus registered three assists in 32 league games last season as a West Ham player prior to his move this offseason to Spurs. Scroll down to watch Kudus’ interview and Richarlison goal
