Music is a goldmine – Wendy Shay

Singer Wendy Shay has described music as a lucrative business, declaring herself one of the richest artistes in the country.

In an interview on Tuesday, the ‘Survivor’ hitmaker revealed that she operates independently, reinvesting all her earnings into her music without relying on external investors.

“Rich is relative, what do you call wealth? When it comes to money, I have it. I can afford everything I want, and this job is seriously capital-intensive,” Wendy Shay said.

She added, “I don’t have investors; it’s our own money that we are putting in, so everything you see is coming from the music.”

Wendy Shay urged others to recognise the potential in the creative industry, calling music a “goldmine.”

“There’s so much money in music, and we are still trying to make people understand that this is the goldmine of our time. There’s so much in music, so when you invest in it, you will get it back. I’m certain that I’m the richest,” she stated.
