One military officer has reportedly died and others have been injured after an accident at Saka, a suburb of the Bawku West District in the Upper East Region.
According to eyewitnesses, the officers were traveling from Bawku to Bolgatanga in an armored vehicle when one of the tyres burst.
This caused the driver to lose control, leading the vehicle to overturn, killing one of the soldiers on the spot.
Some locals quickly rushed to the scene to rescue the injured.
The police have transported injured officers to the Zebilla District Hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the deceased has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for preservation.
