Medikal rallies support for Black Sherif to win VGMA Artiste Of The Year

Ghanaian hip-hop musician, Medikal has declared his support to Black Sherif as he prays he wins the Artiste of the Year in the 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

Medikal believes Black Sherif deserves to be crowned with such an honour due to the zealousness he has attached to his music career in the short period.

Black Sherif has been nominated for many categories and he is competing against Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, Kidi, Piesie Esther and Joe Mettle for the Artiste of the Year award.

According to Medikal, born Samuel Adu Frimpong, he wishes the award goes to Black Sherif, whom he said has been very skilful and talented as a new young artiste.

Medikal in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Tv3’s New Day said “I saw that he (Black Sherif) has been nominated for artiste of the year. I’d be so happy if he wins.”

“Black Sherif should keep doing his thing. I pray he wins the Artiste of the Year award,” Medikal added.

The current reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year is Lynx Entertainment signer, KiDi, who won in 2022 with his ‘Touch It’ song.

Meanwhile, Medikal has also been nominated for the Best Hiplife/Hiphop category at this year’s VGMA event and he is competing against Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Amerado, Kwesi Arthur and Strongman.

The 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is scheduled for May, 13th, 2023 at the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Centre.
