Artiste manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson known in showbiz as Bulldog has said Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mark Okraku Mantey has failed as a politician as he believes the Minister can never bring any development in his constituency Ayensuano constituency if he wins the seat as Member of Parliament.
Mark Okraku Mantey has filed to contest on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) in their upcoming primaries.
The controversial artiste manager disclosed this on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Bulldog who has always been criticizing the Deputy Minister for his ”poor performance” in the office said for the fact that Mr. Okraku Mantey has contributed nothing to the creative sector, he will never be active in his constituency as well.
“The people of his constituency should not even waste their time to vote for him because he will not bring about any change”.
“Look, I respect Mark 100 percent as a person and what he has done for the entertainment industry as an individual but when it comes to governance, he will score no points from me”.
“He has done nothing in office for four years in government so as MP, what is he going to do there? He is not worthy of that space because he has contributed nothing to our sector”, he said.
He went on to say that all Mr. Okraku Mantey does is give one excuse after another and defend very ambitious promises.
“Last year for instance, his ministry came out to say they will build five amphitheaters by December and when it was pointed out to him that might be too ambitious, Mr. Okraku Mantey was very defensive”.
“Meanwhile, to date, not even one has been built. This is why I say if he wins the seat as MP, he will not bring anything new to that constituency”, he stated.
“He was very good at what he did, he achieved a lot for the industry, he’s my mentor but as a politician, he is a disappointment to me”, he added.
