Basketball star Luka Doncic had a very short but significant reaction to Slovenia’s quarterfinal elimination from the 2025 European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket).

Slovenia exited the continental championship after losing 99-91 to Germany despite leading 32-21 at the conclusion of the first quarter.

26-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic starred once again in the tournament by registering 39 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in 32 minutes in the loss.

On the opposite side, Orlando Magic’s Franz Wagner led Germany with 23 points after converting 13 of 14 free throw attempts but only scoring five of 17 field goal attempts in the contest.

Reacting to the loss, Luka Doncic posted a picture of Slovenia’s team on his Instagram page and added the caption “PROUD”.

Slovenia crashed out at the quarterfinal stage in the previous edition of the EuroBasket and losing to Germany cost them a semifinal clash against Finland on Friday, September 12 at 14:00 GMT.
