M.anifest had pledged jolly birds a great show, and yesterday night, December 18, the award-winning rapper kept his word to deliver on his promise.
The 2022 Manifestivities was a sight to behold from the beginning to the end, with a plethora of fantastic performers wowing the crowd with performances that kept revellers rocking all night.
DJ Wanzam and other DJs provided the disc jockeying performances that served as the concert’s official opening act, getting the crowd pumped and ready for the night’s various acts.
As the crowd was getting into the party spirit, the “Next Gen” which had a crop of young artistes started to perform, with Baaba J as the leader.
Her excellent piece of a fusion of Afro-Caribbean and Ga flair sparked a party atmosphere throughout the entire Bukom Boxing Sports arena.
And there were the likes of Juma Mufasa and also Cameroonian musician T’neeya, who gave the ladies a jam session with her hit ‘lala’ song.
As the energy increased, singer Kwesi Arthur took the stage to enthral the audience and treat patrons to some of his amazing songs, including yebesore. Fans couldn’t stop singing his songs even after he left the stage.
When the Nigerian highlife band Cavemen entered with a new groove, the feeling of “Naija no dey carry last” was intense with their showmanship.
At this point, one would have thought that patrons have had enough already but the story changed when the headline act, M.anifest got to the stage.
With an entrance that could best be described as explosive, M.anifest got the audience roaring with excitement when the lights went out and his voice echoed throughout the auditorium announcing his presence.
He began his act with a Madina to the World chant, which got everyone in the mood.
He then sang Someway bi and other songs, all of which had the audience literally singing along and on cloud nine.
Even after arriving at the venue at 6 p.m. and staying until 3 a.m., revellers still couldn’t get enough and craved more of the soothing performances.
