Ghanaian musician Albert Apoozore, known in showbiz as King Ayisoba, has advised Ghanaians, especially those in the creative arts industry, to use their musical talent and local dishes to attract tourists to Ghana.
King Ayisoba has been nominated to perform in the upcoming Ghana Food Festival in Delaware, United States of America, on July 28-29.
The Ghanaian traditional music promoter said one of the easiest ways to lure foreigners to Ghana is to expose them to Ghana’s rich culture, including local food, music and dance.
According to King Ayisoba, he is very excited about a diasporian show that promotes Ghana.
Speaking about the Ghana Food Festival, he said, “It is a show to showcase Ghana and its culture to the international community. So I want to do my best to leave a mark in their minds about Ghana”.
“Our food and music are very unique, so we need to use them to tell the good story about Ghana and its people and to help bring tourists down here to see things for themselves”.
“I am going to play my part well, and I believe, together, other artistes, exhibitors, and organizers will team up to make it great,” he noted in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on GTV.
Aside from projecting Ghana to the international community, the Ghana Food Festival US aims to create jobs, strengthen international relations and boost tourism in Ghana.
