The family of the slain okada rider, who was found dead with his throat slit at Kwabenya Comet in Accra on September 6, is calling for justice.
The killing, which residents described as yet another shocking act of violence in the area, has heightened fear within the community.
Speaking to the media, relatives of the deceased appealed to the government to intervene. “We’re appealing to the government to ensure justice is served,” a family member said.
The gruesome killing comes just months after an immigration officer, Stephen Amoah, was murdered under similar circumstances in the same community—a trend that has heightened fear and insecurity among locals.
Residents say the repeated violent crimes have left them terrified and are demanding urgent police intervention to restore law and order.
Police have since launched investigations into the latest incident, though no arrests have been made so far.
