Kotoko fans ready to contribute towards stadium project

Asante Kotoko Supporters Chief, Christopher Damenya, has disclosed that fans of the club are willing to contribute to building a new stadium.

According to him, the loyal fans of the Ghana Premier League giants have bought into a proposal by the club’s Chief Executive and are ready to contribute.

Earlier, Asante Kotoko C.E.O Nana Yaw Amponsah had suggested building a stadium for the club if 100,000 committed supporters contributed $100 to the club.

Damenya indicated that most supporters are willing and ready to pay more than $100 for the construction.

“A lot of people have called to take part. Some people are calling to pay more than that. So we are going to work on it”, he said in an interview with Happy FM.

“We have the numbers, and if all our supporters are ready to contribute, we can build a mini-stadium”, he added.
