Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has shed light on Jordan Ayew’s substitution in Palace’s English Premier League tie against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Palace lost 3-1 to Spurs at the Tottenham Stadium and Ayew got substituted after the 70th minute mark sparking questions over a suspected injury.

Teammate Eberechi Eze was withdrawn earlier in the 65th minute as a precaution with the England international coming off a muscle injury.

In the post game interview, Glasner stated that Ayew took a hit on his hip and this issue was the reason behind the substitution.

“He got a hit in the first-half on his hip. He already told us at half-time he had maybe 10 or 15 minutes, but I hope and I think it’s not so bad.”
