I condemn all acts of violence and lawlessness- Stonebwoy reacts to military brutality in Ashaiman

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has reacted to the violence between the military and the residents of Ashaiman.

Some military officers attacked some people in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region following the death of one of their colleagues reported to have been killed by unknown persons in the community.

The 22-year-old soldier was allegedly killed in the early hours of Saturday, March 4.

Reports indicate that some colleagues of the deceased stormed Ashaiman in the early hours of Tuesday, March 7, to punish the residents for taking the law into their own hands by killing a military person.

Stonebwoy, a resident of Ashaiman who is currently in New York for an event said he condemns the acts of both the residents of Ashaiman and the military for acting unlawfully in the country.

The ‘Gidigba’ hitmaker hopes the culprits are brought to book for them to be punished to serve as a deterrent to others.

“It’s 9 am in New York and I’m just waking up to the news of what’s going on in my beloved Ashaiman. I unequivocally condemn all acts of violence and lawlessness, whether it relates to the brutalization of innocent civilians or the unlawful killing of a member of the armed forces. May all those culpable be found out and made to face the law fully,” Stonebwoy’s post read.
