How to make Korean spicy chicken tenders with sweet apple

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 2 servings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ apple, cut into chunks
  • 1 stalk celery, cut into chunks
  • ½ green bell pepper, cut into chunks
  •  onion, cut into bite-size pieces
  • ¾ pound chicken tenderloins, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • 1 pinch lemon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

 

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the apple, celery, bell pepper, and onion; cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the chicken, hot pepper paste, white wine, lemon pepper, sugar, garlic, and pepper. Cook the chicken until no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes.
