Ghana Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak have unveiled their new home and away jerseys for the upcoming 2021/22 league season.
Fans of the Phobians were treated to their first look at the new home and away kits during the official launch on Thursday at the World Trade Center in Accra.
The stunning outfits dominated with the rainbow colour were manufactured by English based kit producers UMBRO who are on a three-year deal with the club after signing an agreement with the club in November 2018 as its official kit partners.
Under the agreement, the outfit is to provide the club with best-in-class competition wear, training kits and equipment, off-field apparel and footwear.
The home kit features the iconic, red, blue and yellow colours in vertical stripes while the away kits come in white with the rainbow colours fading in colourfully in strips near the bottom.
The Board Chairman of the club, Togbe Afede said it was important that in such a key year for the club, “Hearts of Oak has returned to the top of Ghana football”
He added that the side was eager to “not only strengthen the brand of Hearts of Oak. We see an obligation as the country’s oldest club, to lead the transformation of Ghana football.”
“We know that ambition is not enough on its own to ensure success. Hard work is key and is an important value at Hearts of Oak.”
“We want to achieve success and more glory. We want to be counted among the best clubs on the continent.”
The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of Friday, October 29 but before that Hearts of Oak will open their 2021/22 CAF Champions League campaign against Guinean top-flight outfit CI Kamsar this weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.
