In a vibrant display of cultural pride, the Ghanaian national football team touched down in Ivory Coast for the 2023 Afcon, adorned in the rich and symbolic colours of kente fabric.

The arrival at the airport was not just a routine greeting; it unfolded into a jubilant celebration as a traditional dance group welcomed the team with traditional dance.

The lively scene saw the players themselves immersed in the cultural festivities, matching steps with the local dancers.

The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, January 13 through to February 11, 2024.

The four-time African champions ended their training camp in Kumasi on Tuesday and are embarking on a trip this morning to Ivory Coast, where the AFCON 2023 will be played.

President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo met the team in Kumasi in a special send-off party, where the players were treated to some good entertainment from Afro dancehall superstar Stonebwoy.
