The Ghana Premier League (GPL) is expected to be autonomous starting next season, according to reports.
President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, assured the football community upon assuming the new office that one of his targets would be an autonomous league.
As part of plans to ensure his administration stays true to its pledge, the GFA has constituted a seven-member committee to oversee the transformation of the GPL to an autonomous status next season.
The committee will be chaired by Hearts of Oak board member Vincent Odotei, with Kingsley Achiaw as its vice-chairman.
Highly-rated administrator Nana Yaw Amponsah will serve as a member as well as one member from the Executive Council of the GFA.
