GFA President Kurt Okraku and General Secretary Prosper Addo attends FIFA Tactical Planning Workshop

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku and General Secretary Prosper Addo are in  France to attend FIFA’s Tactical Planning Workshop to review the Forward programme and to prepare for the FIFA Forward 3.0 programme.

The FIFA Forward 3.0 initiative will run from 2023 through 2026 and offer greater effect and development, but also far more complicated financial procedures and supervision.

The FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, launched the workshop in Paris, France, which was organized by the FIFA Association Department with assistance from officials from other FIFA departments including the Governance and Finance.

The FIFA President asked the presidents and general secretaries of African football to make the most of the Workshop in order to make sure that the program is effective.

The FIFA governance framework, FIFA development initiatives, child protection, and the rollout of the FIFA Safeguarding Toolkit were all topics of discussion at the workshop.

Other subjects covered in the conversation were internal accountability, FIFA audits, government interactions, financial management, and capacity building.

For the FIFA Forward 3.0 initiative, each Member Association must submit its updated Contract of Agreed Objectives (CAO) by June 30, 2023, at the latest.

Fatima Samoura, the general secretary of FIFA, lauded Member Associations who have expanded their support for women’s soccer in her concluding remarks and advocated for further funding to advance the women’s game. Additionally, she urged Member Associations to focus more on Child Protection in our game.
