GFA extends deadline of registration window for upcoming league season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the deadline for the registration window in the betPawa Ghana Premier League, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, and the National Division One League has been extended.

The window was expected to close on Monday, August 15, 2022.

However, after considerations and consultations, the Ghana FA has extended the window for one more week.

The Ghana Football Association wishes to announce that the Registration window for the 2022/23 season has been extended for one more week.

The transfer window for the betPawa Premier League, Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League and the Division One League which was originally scheduled to close on Monday, August 15, 2022 have been extended to enable clubs to complete all pending registration and transfers.

The opening of the window is in accordance with the GFA Regulations which make provisions for the opening of the main registration window before the commencement of the football season.

The registration window is now expected to close at midnight (23:59GMT) on Monday, August 22, 2022.

All participating clubs in the betPawa Premier League, Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League and the Division One League are therefore reminded to complete their registrations before this deadline.

Clubs are to note that there shall be no further extensions and the new deadline shall be enforced strictly.

Regional Football Association clubs (2nd Division League, 3rd Division League and all Juvenile, U17, U15, and U13, clubs are to note that this extension does not affect the deadline of the lower league registration window
