• Murdered officer was from the National SWAT Headquarters and was escorting a pickup with registration No. GT 8592-W that belongs to “MON-TRAN, a company that provides cash in transit services for many Financial institutions in Ghana.
• the Armed Robbers were About 8 in number on four (4) motorbikes.
• A lady, identified as Joyce Amankwah aged about 35 years who was sitting in her kiosk was hit by a stray bullet and killed instantly.
• One Eric Okyere, bystander was also hit in the hand and was rushed to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment.
• One Okyere was also taken to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital before the arrival of the police.
• Seventeen (17) empty AK 47 spent shells were picked from the scene.
• The murdered police officer’s weapon was taken away by the robbers.
