Ghanaian midfielder Elvis Opoku is set to submit a letter to the Ghana Football Association requesting them to help him recover his signing-on fees and outstanding salaries from Legon Cities.
The former Aduana Stars midfielder joined The Royals last season but spent most of that campaign in the injury room resulting in him being released from the club at the start of this season.
Feeling mistreated and humiliated by the club, Opoku dragged the Legon Cities to the Player Status Committee. He triumphed over them as the Committee gave Legon Cities a 14-day ultimatum to pay the midfielder the signing-on fees owed him.
The Committee further asked the midfielder to honour his contract by serving the one season left on his contract. The player obliged and has been training with the club every day.
Surprisingly, the 14-day ultimatum ended last week and the player is yet to hear from the club and has resolved to formally lodge a complaint to the GFA and the Player Status Committee to help recover what is due him.
The club owes him four-month outstanding salaries.
