A driver hit and killed a motor rider who snatched his phone to death at the Kwabenya Musuku roundabout in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency.
This fatal accident is reported to have happened around 8 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, involving a driver of a Toyota Vitz car bearing the registration GX-3607-20 and two men on a motorbike.
According to an eyewitness, the driver knocked the two young men on the motorbike off the road.
As a result, the Vitz car somersaulted and ran into a teak pole.
The young men on the motorbike also crashed not so far from the Vitz.
According to the eyewitness, the dead man, suspected of being a teenager, and his partner had snatched the Vitz driver’s iPhone 13 while on the road. In response, the driver chased and knocked them down.
The driver was also rushed to the hospital.
The accomplice, who survived the accident, managed to escape.
Personnel of the Ghana Police Service were at the scene to assess the situation for necessary actions.
