The Head Pastor of Open Arms Ministry in Kumasi, Apostle Kofi Nkrumah Sarkodie, is once again in the grips of the police for defying the president’s directive on social gathering.

Apostle Sarkodie, who appears to be grounded in his faith, on Sunday held a church service again despite being arrested earlier in the week for a similar offence, Citi News reported.

The apostle and two of his church members were first arrested on March 18 for defying the president’s order as they held a church service.

The trio were granted bail together.

The Ashanti Regional Police PRO, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, said the pastor would be arraigned on March 23.

Meanwhile, churches and mosques all over the country have largely complied with the directive of the President to ban public gatherings.

Several churches, on Sunday, held online services with others holding live services on radio and television stations.

President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, March 13, suspended all public gatherings in the country following the recording of six confirmed cases of coronavirus.

The president’s directive is meant to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
