Graham Potter retains the faith of Chelsea’s owners despite struggling as head coach since arriving from Brighton in September.
Potter has won just eight of the 18 matches he has taken charge of, including just one of the Blues’ last seven games in all competitions, and they lie 10th in the Premier League.
Chelsea have also been eliminated from the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, but Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol told The Transfer Show: “I think Graham Potter will get time because the Chelsea co-owners still believe in him and still back him.
“But if Roman Abramovich was still the owner, I’m not sure how much time he would get.
“The situation is very serious and the results can’t carry on the way they’re going. If Chelsea keep putting in bad performances, how long is that faith in Potter going to last?
“But for the time being, the information we’re getting is the owners still support their manager.”
The Press Association understands that co-owner Todd Boehly has stepped down from his role as interim sporting director to be replaced by director of global talent Paul Winstanley and technical director Christopher Vivell.
