The Black Stars arrived safely in Ghana after qualifying for the World Cup qualification at the expense of their Nigerian counterparts in the play-off on Tuesday evening.
The players together with the technical team landed at the Kotoka International Airport at around 1:30 am and were met by some fans, media, and other personalities.
The Sports Minister Hon. Mustapha Ussif and his entourage were also at the airport to welcome them to back from Nigeria after charming performance.
Ghana managed to hold the Super Eagles to a 1-1 draw at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja to gain qualification to the World tournament expected to take place later this year in Qatar.
It was a decisive second-leg encounter after both sides settled for a goalless draw in the first leg in Kumasi.
The Stars opened scoring at the 11th minute of the games after a shot from Arsenal star Thomas Partey beat goalkeeper Francis Uzoho to ensure the path to victory opened for Ghana.
But the Eagles managed to draw level after captain of the side, William Troost-Ekong converted from the spot kick after VAR ruled a penalty decision on Black Stars defender Denis Odoi’s tackle on Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman.
The 1-1 on aggregate result secured Ghana’s return to the Mundial after missing out of the 2018 edition in Russia.
The Stars will be making their fourth appearance at the world stage after making three consecutive appearances since their debut in 2006.
Reports say the entire team will be meeting the President HE Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House on Wednesday morning.
