Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have touched down in Ben Slimane, Morocco, for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The team reached their camping base in the early hours of Tuesday, June 17, following their departure from the Kotoka International Airport in the morning.

Not all the players have arrived in Ben Slimane to kickstart preparations, but the team is hoping for a full squad in the coming days.

The Black Queens are in Group C for the tournament, where they are joined by defending champions South Africa, Mali and Tanzania.

The delayed 2024 WAFCON starts on July 5 with the final slated for July 26.
