Atuabo Gas Plant to be shut down for a 2-week maintenance exercise

The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has granted permission to the Ghana National Gas Company Ltd. (Ghana Gas) to proceed with a scheduled maintenance shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant.

This essential maintenance will take place from August 16 to August 30, 2025.

The Ministry, in a statement, explained that this temporary halt in gas supply will facilitate crucial inspections, repairs, and upgrades aimed at improving the plant’s efficiency and reliability.

They stressed that this shutdown is part of the government’s ongoing dedication to ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of vital national energy infrastructure.
