The Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac has named a provisional 30-man squad to begin camping in Doha, Qatar ahead of the Africa Cup Of Nations to be held next month in Cameroon.
The squad features the likes of Andre Dede Ayew and his brother, Jordan Ayew, Rennes’ Kamaldeen Sulemana, Chelsea’s Baba Rahman and Dreams FC starlet Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
Surprisingly making the list are four debutants namely, Khlaid Abdul Mumin of Vitoria de Guimaraes and Salis Abdul Samed from French Ligue 1 side Clermont Foot. Others are Maxwell Abbey Quaye from Accra Great Olympics and David Abagna of Real Tamale United.
The injured Mohammed Kudus was also included in the list with the hope of recovering soon enough to make it to the tournament.
Addressing the media, the GFA General Secretary, Henry Asante Twum highlighted the training camp will not allow media coverage as the team wants to intensively prepare for the tournament.
