Former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has stated that Ghana must go all out to secure victories in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali in September.

The Black Stars will first face Chad before taking on Mali, with both fixtures expected to test Otto Addo’s side. Ghana will be looking to strengthen their position in the group and build on recent performances as the race for qualification intensifies.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports’ Gabby Ofei, Fatau indicates that the results from these matches will be vital to the team’s chances of making it to the global showpiece.

“We have two games ahead of us, and we are calling on Ghanaians to pray for us, but we need to win these matches against Chad and Mali,” Dauda told reporters, stressing the need for unity and national support.

Ghana currently sits in a competitive qualifying group, and victories in both matches could significantly boost their chances of sealing an early ticket to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
