The Ministry of Health has issued a warning to residents of the Tamale municipality in the Northern Region after the detection and confirmation of Polio virus type 2 from environmental sample in the Tamale municipality.
This constitutes a public health emergency.
Consequently, residents are being advised to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene or risk being infected with the virus.
