Photos: Mourners troop to Rawlings’ Ridge office

Minutes after the death of former President J.J. Rawlings hit the airwaves, dozens of mourners troop to the Ridge office of the country’s longest-serving leader to confirm the news.

With their heads buried and some on their phones, they were seen peeping through the closed doors of the white-washed walls.

Many broke down in tears.

The former President is reported to have died of an unknown illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
