NPP Presidential aspirants to ballot for positions October 10

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to organise a balloting exercise for its presidential candidates in preparation for the party’s presidential primary scheduled for January 31, 2026.

This exercise, which will establish the order of candidates on the ballot, is scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2025, at the party’s headquarters located in Asylum Down, Accra. It is set to commence at 11:00 a.m.

In a statement signed by William Yamoah, the Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, the party expressed its congratulations to the candidates for successfully completing the vetting process and encouraged their participation in the upcoming event.

The letter, dated October 7, 2025, emphasised the party’s commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness in its internal democratic procedures.

The invitation to participate in the balloting was extended to all five candidates: Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

Additionally, the party requested that the candidates confirm receipt of the invitation and assured them of its willingness to address any enquiries before the event.
