Mahama appoints 12-member Bank of Ghana Board

Following a consultation with the Council of State, President John Dramani Mahama has appointed a 12-member governing board for the Bank of Ghana.

This latest appointment is in accordance with Article 70(1)(d)(iii) of the Constitution and Section (8) of the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002.

The appointments were announced in a letter released on Wednesday, 26 February 2025.

The appointees are expected to bring diverse expertise and experience to the Bank of Ghana, ensuring effective governance and oversight of the country’s central banking operations.
